2010 - 2021

A law titled 'America the Beautiful National Parks Quarter Dollar Coin Act of 2008' authorized the production of a 5-ounce investment-grade silver bullion coin.

The reverse side of the 5 oz Silver Bullion Coin bears the same design as the "America the Beautiful" circulated and uncirculated quarters, which feature a national park or treasure in each of America's 50 states and six territories.

The territories include the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and the Northern Mariana Islands.

The production of the American the Beautiful Quarters will run through 2021.

Obverse

The 1932 portrait of George Washington byJohn Flanaganis on the obverse side of every 5 oz silver bullion coin in the America the Beautiful series; it is the same portrait found on every US quarter in circulation.

Coin sculptor William Cousins restored John Flanagan's Washington Quarter design for the American the Beautiful Quarters and bullion coins to bring out the detail in Flanagan's original design.

Reverse

The reverse side of every America the Beautiful 5 oz silver bullion coindisplays a design of a National Park, District, or U.S. Territorydesignated for that coin.

Across the top of the bullion coin is the name of the National Park or Treasure.

Along the bottom of every America the Beautiful 5 oz silver silver coin is the name of the state where theNational Park is, the coin's "Year of Issue," and "E PLURIBUS UNUM."

Edge

The Edge of the 5 oz America the Beautiful Silver bullion coin has Incused - Lettering.

The lettering spell out the bullion coins' fineness ".999 FINE SILVER" and weight "5.0 OUNCE."

Designers & Engravers

The initials on the bottom half of U.S.-minted coinage are those of the Designer and the Engraver.

Ifthe coin has the same designer and engraver, there is no specificationas to where the initials are found, except that they will be foundsomewhere on the bottom half of the coin.

This method of recognizing a U.S. coin's designer and engraver is commonplace amongmodern U.S. coins.
