Evan Rachel Wood 'in shock' over lost tooth (2024)

Evan Rachel Wood has opened up about her recent tooth loss incident.

On the night of her 24th birthday, the True Blood star accidentally took an elbow to the face from a fellow dancer, causing one of the actress's teeth to be knocked out.

Wood told People that she was "in kinda shock" when the incident first happened, but admitted that she now finds the whole affair to be funny.

"I was quoting The Hangover and I went, 'Oh my God, I look like a nerdy hillbilly!'" Wood said. "But the person that did it was crying because they felt so bad."

The actress went on to say that that she is even considering putting the tooth in question up for auction on eBay.

"I'll never forget my 24th birthday when my tooth got punched out," Wood said. "And for a second I was like, it would be really hilarious if I sold it on eBay. But I can't, that's just too creepy. I don't think I can go there."

In August, Wood confessed that she is unsure of her future on True Blood, saying that her character may be written out of the show.

True Blood continues to air on Sundays at 9pm on HBO in the US and on Tuesdays on Channel 4 in the UK.
