Tweens N Teens Program for kids 11-17 years old!
Our Tweens N TeensLearn To Play programisabout learning the skills of a great sport in a fun and challenging environment. Players learn the fundamental skills of how to skate and handle a puck with a stick, and then play games in a group of their peers.
Ages:Youth 11to 17years
Prerequisite:Completion of Learn To Hockey Skate-Level 2 (LTHS-L2), OR Learn To Skate-Level 2 (LTS-L2); Equivalent skating experience will be considered with Coach approval. Kids not able to perform basic skating fundamentals at the first class may be recommended back to LTHS or LTS to better position them for success in a future LTP session.
Series Length:13-16 Week Series - one class a week (may join at any time if space is available)
Program Details:
The focus and goal of our Tweens N Teens program is to teach beginner ice skaters the fundamentals of hockey. It’s important for these players to become comfortable on the ice whilelearning the basic hockey skills. Players will get to participate in games with their peer group in this class as well.
The classes will focus on skill acquisition for the first 4 weeks, and then move into half skills/half games for the last 4 weeks of the session.
Equipment required:Full hockey gear & stick - Players MUST be in full gear for this class. If you do not have gear, please contact Elevate Sporting (locations at Sno-King Renton and Snoqualmie, and stand alone retail location in Bellevue) to discuss options for acquiring gear. http://www.elevatesporting.com/
